onion的复数形式

onion是个名词，在中文中是洋葱、葱头的意思。

an。

onion以元音音素开头，前面用不定冠词an。

注意1：看一个但是是以元音还是以辅音音素开头，看的是音标，不是看单词。

注意2：有的单词虽然以元音字母开头，但是它的读音（音标）却是辅音音素开头，不定冠词要用a。

onion可数还是不可数？

1、若当作一种植物看待，为可数名词，指“一根洋葱”“一个洋葱头”等。

例句：

The onions are beginning to sprout up.

2、若指作为菜吃的“洋葱”“洋葱头”，有时可数，有时不可数。
