一、give 动词。意思是“给”。指动作的执行者“亲自给”，常跟双宾语，译法比较灵活。一般间接宾语在前，直接宾语在后。如果间接宾语较长或要加以强调，可以和to构成短语放在后面。此外，give和一个表示动作的名词连用，则表示名词的“动作”。例如：

I'm sorry for giving you so much trouble.对不起，给你添了不少麻烦。
