few的比较级和最高级

few，英语单词，主要用作名词、形容词、代词，作形容词时意为“很少的；几乎没有的”，作名词时意为“很少数，作代词时意为“很少”。

few的比较级和最高级：

few的比较级：fewer。

few的最高级：fewest。

例句：

There are no fewer than 100 different species in the area.

这个地区有不少于100个的不同物种。

Fewer people write with their left hand than with their right.

用左手写字的人比用右手的人少。

Now I meet with fewer difficulties in my work.

现在我工作中困难少些了。

few、a few、quite a few 的区别和用法：

1、few 的意思是“很少的…，几乎没有的…”，表示“虽然有，但很少”。

强调“少”，用于复数名词前或指代可数名词，表示否定的意思。

There are few people in the room.

房间里没有几个人。(虽有但少)

The girl bought few things,because she didn’t have money.

这个女孩几乎没有买什么东西，因为她没有钱。

2、a few 的意思是“少数的…，几个…，一些…”，表示“虽然少，但还有”。

强调“有”，修饰可数名词，常放在复数名词前，表肯定含义，用以表示不大的数目。也用以指代可数名词。

There are a few people in the room.

房间有几个人。(虽少但有)

She has a few friends Chendu ,so she wants to go there for vacation.

她在成都有几个朋友，所以她想去那度假。

3、quiteaew“相当多，不少”用以指代可数名词或修饰复数名词。

Most of the teachers are young in our school ,and quite a few are beautiful women.

在我们学校大多数老师是年轻人，并且相当多的是美女教师。

We've installed quite a few sports floors over the years!

多年来我们已经安装了不少运动地板！

few与little的区别：

一、few与little 作形容词用，都表示“几乎没有”，相当于一个否定词。

具体区别： 

1、few 后面跟复数可数名词。 

2、little 后面跟单数不可数名词。

例如：

He has few friends. 

他没有几个朋友。

They has little money.

 他们没有什麽钱

二、a few 与 a little 都表示肯定的意思，指“有一点，有一些”。

具体区别：

1、a few 后加可数名词复数。

2、a little 后加不可数名词单数。

例如：

He has few friends.

他没有几个朋友。

They has little money. 

他们没有什麽钱。

三、a little 与 little 也可以用作副词，表示“有点”“稍稍” 表示“很少”。

例如：

----Can you speak English?

----Yes, but only a little.

This book is a little more difficult than that one.（ 可修饰形容词比较级）。
