where的用法四种句型

where在英语中的词性比较多，既可以做副词，表示在哪里？也可以做连词，表示在……的地方。也可以做代词，表示哪里？更可以做名词，表示地点。

where的用法四种句型：

1、Where is/are + 名词？

这种句型用于询问某物的位置或某人的所在地。

需要注意的是，is用于第三人称单数，are用于第三人称复数或第二人称。

例如：

Where is the nearest post office? 

最近的邮局在哪里？

Where are the Smiths living now? 

史密斯一家现在住在哪里？

2、Where  go/went？

这种句型用于询问要去哪里，常用于日常口语和简单的对话中。

例如：

Where did you go yesterday? 

你昨天去哪里了？

3、Where + do/does +主语+动词？

这种句型一般用来询问某人做某事的地点。

例如:

Where does John live? 

John住在哪里? 

4、Where + 动词 + 宾语 + 地 + 动词？

这种句型用于描述某个地方的特点或状态，通常用来回答问题或提供信息。

例如：

Where do they usually have their meals? 

他们通常在哪里用餐？

where用法归纳：

1、作“在哪里”，当疑问副词用：

例如：

Where did you get the data? 

你从哪里得到的数据？

2、where引导地点状语从句：

例如：

Go back where you came from.

从哪里来回哪里去。

3、where引导名词从句：

例如：

We don’t know where he works.

我们不知道他在哪里工作。（宾语从句）

Where he lives is near the subway.

他住的地方在地铁附近。（主语从句）

Have you any idea where he has gone?

4、where引导限制性定语从句：

例如：

5、where引导非限制性定语从句：

where there is,there is 句型：

Where there is …, there is …句式，其中where引导的地点状语从句，有时暗含具有条件、时间等意味。

例句：

Where there is a will，there is a way.

which 和 where 引导的定语从句的区别：

1、which 是关系代词，传统上引导非限制性定语从句，在从句中指代一个人或事物。

例如：

The festival, which lasted all day, ended with fireworks.

这个持续了一整天的节日以烟火结束。

He has missed his bus, which means he is going to be late.

他错过了公共汽车，这意味着他要迟到了。

2、where 是关系副词，不是关系代词，可以引导限制性和非限制性定语从句，在从句中指代一个地方。

例如：

The corner store, where we usually buy our food, was robbed.

我们通常买食物的街角商店被抢了。

This is the place where Lady Elizabeth was killed by highwaymen.

这就是伊丽莎白夫人被强盗杀害的地方。

3、两者的区别：

which 是关系代词，在定语从句中指代一个人或事物，主要引导非限制性从句，而 where 是关系副词，在定语从句中指代一个地点，可以引导非限制性和限制性定语从句。
