“So”和“Such”是英语中用来强调句子意义的两个词。它们也用来表示“像这样”。so做为一个副词，后面可以修饰形容词或副词。但是such是一个形容词，后面只能修饰名词。

①such + a/an（+形容词） + 名词；

例如：

Have you seen such an interesting film?

你看过如此有趣的电影吗？

②such（+形容词） + 名词。

区别用法

1、词性不同

such是形容词，用来修饰名词；

例：She is such a diligent student. 她是个如此勤奋的学生。

so是副词，用来修饰形容词或副词

例：She is so diligent a student. 她是个如此勤奋的学生。

2、当修饰单数可数名词时，单数名词前有不定冠词与形容词时，so和such的位置不同。

so的用法：so+形容词+a/an+名词

例：She is so clever a girl.她真是个聪明的孩子。

such的用法：such+a/an+形容词+名词

例：She is such a clever girl.她真是个聪明的孩子。

3、当修饰复数可数名词时

此时，一般只能用such，如：

I can't stick them at any price; they are such frumps. （我无论如何受不了她们，她们太守旧。）

4、当复数名词有形容词修饰时

当复数名词被形容词修饰时，只能用such，如：

That thief has such clever hands. She steals things in such an artistic way. 

（那个小偷的技巧相当了得，偷东西的方式是如此高明。）

5、特殊情况

（1）如果名词前有表示数量多少的many、much、few、little等修饰词时，只能用so，如：

Stress can be the undoing of so many fine players. 

（紧张可能是这许多优秀选手失败的原因。）

Don't make so much fuss over losing a penny. 

（别为丢了一便士大惊小怪的。）

（2）当little表示“小”的意思用来修饰可数名词时，近似于small，这时只能用such，如：

There were such little children that they couldn't clean the house. 

（这些孩子那么小，不能打扫房间。）

6、so…that…与such…that…

在结果状语从句中，so…that…和such…that…的主要区别也在于：so用来修饰形容词或副词，而such用来修饰名词。但两者都表示“如此…，以至于…”如：

He was so ill that two nurses attended on him. 

（他病得那样重，有两个护士照顾他。）

He is such a good egg that everyone likes him. 

（他是一个大好人，个个都喜欢他。）
