in order that和in order to的区别

in order to常用来引导目的状语，但不引导从句。in order that引导从句。很多学生虽然知道两个短语的意思，但对他们的语法结构还缺乏合理认知，不清楚该怎么用。

in order that和in order to的区别

1、后面接的成分不同

in order that＋从句构成目的状语从句，表明主句行为目的。

in order to＋动词原形构成目的状语，不成从句。

2、意思不同

in order that：为了。

in order to：（唯有…）才能。

in order that造句：

1、We sent the letter by air mail in order that it might reach them in good time.

这封信我们航空寄去，以便他们能及时收到。

2、All those concerned must work together in order that agreement can be reached on this issue.

一切有关人员必须通力合作，以便能在这个问题上达成协议。

in order to的用法详解：

1、in order to意为“为了”

①强调目的，后面接动词原形，可以放在主句的前面，也可以放在主句的后面。

②in order to do sth. 表示“为了做某事”。

③否定形式为in order not to do sth. 表示“为了不做某事”。

In order to let the students hear him，he spoke loudly.

为了能让学生听见他（讲话）， 他大声地说话。

2、含有 in order to的句子可以转变为由so that 或in order that 引导的状语从句。

She spoke loudly in order to let us hear her.

＝She spoke loudly in order that we could hear her.

＝She spoke loudly so that we could hear her.

为了让我们能听见她，她说话很大声。
